Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add an olive oil to OlioAtlas?

Tap Oil Atlas (the first tab), then tap the + button in the bottom-right corner. Enter the oil's name, producer, region, country, variety, and harvest year. You can also add a photo from your library. The oil will save to your collection.

How do I log a tasting?

Tap Log Tasting (the center tab). You'll be asked to pick an existing oil or add a new one. Then move through three steps: tasting profile (overall score, intensity, 12-attribute flavor wheel, defects), followed by pairing and notes. Tap Save when you're done. The oil will automatically move to your Tried shelf.

What do the three shelves mean?

Tried is for oils you've tasted and logged. Want to Try is your wishlist. Exploring is for oils currently in rotation in your kitchen. You can move any oil between shelves at any time from its detail screen.

Does OlioAtlas sync to the cloud or across devices?

Not in version 1.0. All your oils, tastings, and notes are stored locally on your device. If you delete the app or switch phones, your data will not transfer automatically. Cloud sync is on the roadmap for a future release.

Does OlioAtlas collect my personal data?

No. OlioAtlas has no accounts, no sign-in, and no network connection. Your tasting history never leaves your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I delete my data?

To delete a single oil or tasting, open it and use the delete option. To remove all data, delete the OlioAtlas app from your iPhone — iOS will remove all associated data along with it.

How do I request a feature?

Email hello@olioatlas.org with the subject line "Feature request." Known items on the roadmap include bottle-scan identification, cloud sync across devices, and a community layer. Feedback shapes priorities.

I think I found a bug. What should I do?

Email a description of what happened, what you expected to happen, and steps to reproduce it. A screenshot helps. I'll reply with a fix timeline or a workaround.
